This double sided pendant is cast from a vintage 1 Anna Coin which circulated in India and Pakistan in the 1940’s. With a value of 1/16th of a Rupee, it was demonetised in 1957 when the Indian currency became decimalised. Today in India, the term Anna is still used to express the fraction 1/16th.
